Fear of presenting? Black outs when showing your work? Insecurities holding you back in your carreer?
There are many ways to overcome these fears. For me, our toastmaster's club, is the most fun way to do it. How? Well - you face your fears in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. In our club, this is our highest value: providing a safe and supportive space for all of us to grow. Come and visit us to see for yourself :-)

"Your success in life will be determined largely by your ability to speak, your ability to write, and the quality of your ideas, in that order." -Patrick Winston
Speaking in front of a crowd is a scary prospect, that‘s for sure. But like all difficult things, public speaking is one where you can become better with practice. And if there was ever a safe space to make that first step, Toastmasters would be it, and to me, especially, TNT. |
Vice President Membership - Kate Ohbaidze
I joined Toastmasters back in 2017, and my first speeches were far from perfect. I learned from feedback, gained valuable experience and grew much stronger in my presentation skills.
Since then, I got a leadership role in my job, moderated a number of company events, hosted my own interviewing show and recorded a podcast.
All of it wouldn't be possible if it wasn’t for the confidence I was gaining in the supportive Toastmasters community where everyone is learning to be better.

The more you are afraid of it, the more you should be doing it.

Public speaking has always been one of my soft spots and I knew that the only way to improve would be practising. At Top Notch Toastmasters I get all the practise I could ever need without ever getting bored, thanks to the different formats, like workshops and contests in addition to the regular meetings.
Outside of Toastmasters I enjoy reading, swimming, hiking in the mountains and generally keeping myself active with new activities. |

Toastmasters is a fun way to develop key communication skills, but also meet interesting people. And an opportunity to talk about yourself. ;-)

I like variety, out-of-comfort zone challenges and being around inspiring people, which I all found at Toastmasters when joining 2023. Also I found big value in the art of giving effective feedback and am astonished how much of a better listener one can get in this environment. My highlight is when I manage to feel peace of mind and playful joy at stage even in cases I am not perfectly prepared. (Basically at any of my speeches.)
Immediate Past President - Julian Schweizer
I found and joined Toastmaster when I arrived at a point in my career where communication and public presentations became more important.
Knowledge and expertise might be the foundation, however it is formulating your ideas in clarity and confidence that sets you apart from others.
I was surprised how fast I felt comfortable at TNT and improved by helping and being helped by like-minded individuals.
To this day I am still looking forward to each of our Wednesday meetings, especially table topics (speaking of the cuff) to both enjoy and improve myself.
